About Cricket Needle Arts

My name is Alexandra Walters Ebling. I was fortunate to have a mother who thought I needed to know how to stitch. So at age 6 I went next door with canvas and threads in hand and learned to needlepoint from our neighbor. It has been a source of many happy hours ever since.

Our name comes from my great grandmother, Myrtle Lee Crick (at left) and her daughter Reva Nell Crick Fox. They were both prolific stitchers and I am very proud to have their needlework tools in my sewing kits. My parents' pet name for me was bug, so to me, Cricket is a tribute to several important people in my life.
